our holiday

We went to Cheshire, near Delamere forest, for our holiday. On the journey we saw some really nice cars: first we saw 11 Subaru's in a row then we saw some MGs and a Lamborghini.

The first day we went to look around the Blakemere craft centre and then went to our relatives for tea.

The next day we went for a bike ride at Delamere forest and got lost like you do in a forest.

The next day we went to the town and had a look around and we found an old fire station chocolate shop.

The day after we went round the walls of Chester, to a Roman museum and to the cathedral where there was a Lego model of it.

For the last day we went for a bike ride across the bumpiest canal in the universe to get to an ice cream farm there we had some nice ice creams with a friend.

We did some fishing and we caught some gudgeon.

Living below the line experience

Living below the line is where you have £1 a day for five days to spend on food and drink.
We did this to see what the experience of what it is like to live in poverty, we are lucky to have more money to spend on food. According to Tear fund 1 in 8 people in the world are going to bed hungry today - its not a pleasant feeling. I would really not like to be one of the people living in poverty because they do this for their life and we did it for 5 days. It was a challenge to think of cheap meals but it does save money, I would not like to do it again because you can't snack or have fruit juice, or sweets.
I learnt how hard it is to survive where they live.

New Addictions

My latest addiction is cross stitch, you make crosses on a sheet with holes in to make a picture. I like minecraft so I did some tools and armour, it is easy to do minecraft things because it is made of blocks and squares. I am starting a new Minecraft cross stitch.

Living below the line

With only one pound each a day we are going to have the experience of living like the poor who don't have much money like we have. When we do it I think it will be hard because we cant have sweets or snacks

The menu I made consists of:

Breakfast

Toast with jam
Lunch
Mum & dad baked beans on toast
Luke Ben & Amy spaghetti hoops with toast
Choc ices

Tea
Macaroni cheese with cauliflower
Chocolate mousse

the solar eclipse

The solar eclipse only shown about every 15 years, we went to see it at Heaton park with our friends.there are full eclipse's and part eclipse's, we saw a part eclipse. An eclipse is where the moon comes in front of the sun.

This eclipse is the one that we saw, you had to look through something dark or you could be blind. So we took the welding mask.
After it ended we went to the  playground and had some fun there.

I am 11

I went to sleep last night, all exited about tomorrow. In the morning I woke up at 5 o clock and went down stairs to find a big box with a sheet covering it. My mum and dad shouted for me to come back up stairs and go back to bed, but I couldn't get to sleep and I had to wait 2 more hours until I could have my presents. Eventually the time came so when every one was down stairs I started to open my cards. Then I opened one that my brother had got me it was a Lego ninjago pen.
Next I took the cover off the big box then I opened it. It was empty! I am just joking, it wasn't empty, it was full of stuff - it was an electric drum kit.

Later we went to Queens park and went on the bike track with our bikes our friends came to the park with us after thy came to our house for lunch and I got a Lego chinook from them.

Later we had  some more friends round for tea and I got some cool custom cards, sweets, loom bands and a space rail after tea my grandma and granddad came round and I got a Lego police station

lego marble run

I have recently had a mad thing about marble runs so I made one out of Lego another of the things I am mad about. It has 2 lifts - one a piston stair lift and the other a belt lift. The belt lift can lift the marbles higher but the stair lift looks cooler. The stairs are sloped so when the marble is on a lifting piston stair it lifts and drops on to a stationary stair and when the next step goes lower the marble falls down until it is at the end and goes on to the track.

Belt lift

Stair lift

The track is made of a 2 brick high and the width make it as long as you want to then add some side pieces to stop the marble from falling off.

IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME

What is the first thing that you think about when I say Christmas? ... presents, so lets start with that. So at six I woke up and obviously woke up everyone else. Ran down the stairs to find two strange shaped  items wrapped in a cloth sheet, but first I opened the present that my sister got me, it was a chocolate orange. Next I opened a bike light (our old one had broken) so this is a better one, now we can go out riding in the evening. Then I opened the strange shaped one - it was a flicker scooter. I'd been wanting one for ages. We also have some friends that bought me some loom bands.

Later we went to church and took part in the Christmas service, we had fun seeing people try
to relate the new toy or present to the bible.

Later we spoke to our grandparents on the phone and they said that they had got us something, they told us that it was in the games room so we climbed up the ladder to find a table tennis table. We have enjoyed playing with it.

In the afternoon we went to our grandparents for a special Christmas tea, along with our Aunty, Uncle and cousins

All we need to do now is remember the real meaning of Christmas.

We did an advent countdown with the different names of Jesus, my favourite was Alpha and Omega.
