loom bands

I have recently got into loom bands and started making them. The first one i made was a simple chain
I made one really long out of most of my bands that measured 9 Meters long.

The second one I made is a little it harder but it looks better this one is called fishtail.

As I got in to loom bands I thought I would try something more challenging on a loom
so I started to learn how to make dragon scale then starburst .

The fifth one I made is called inverted fishtail it looks like this.

I also created a custom one it is a mix between fishtail and inverted fishtail .

Hope you like my custom one .

Our day at Gawthorpe hall

Today we went to Gawthorpe hall. There were 3 people dressed up in civil war clothes. There were 3 different activities to do with the civil war. The first activity was loading a musket, we had a smaller replica of a musket and we had to load the gun the real way.

The next activity was a story of a civil war battle that we reenacted with different people from the royalists or the parliamentarians, and the parliamentarians won lead by Oliver Cromwell .

The last activity was figuring out a coded massage and making a sweet bag.

The Strongarm

This is the Nerf elite Strongarm .The Strongarm has 2 sling adapters, 1 sight, 6 darts and one rail. It also has a slam fire feature; how that works is you hold the trigger down and cock the gun.To reload the gun you press a button and push the barrel out then you can spin it round to put the darts in.

This gun is a weird size but very good I would rate it 7 out of 10

Our week in Scotland

We had a great time in Scotland, we loved the games room and the views, one of the best views was from the top of a mountain, it stood 1491 feet in the sky.

We went fly fishing and caught 5 rainbow trout and ate 2 of them they were very nice

We went out on a bike ride to and around Loch Katrine and Loch Ard.

We had a great time and a good stay.

sand martins

Sand martins live in the edge of sand banks, they hide in little holes for there houses, then they make nests
and the female lays her eggs.

  #

They have migrated from Africa to England so today we went to Queens park and tried to spot them but couldn't find any but we did see lots more birds like Canadian geese and coots. We also saw a
swan marking its territory.

Our day at Techniquest

On Wednesday we went to techniquest and had lots of fun. There was lots of different things to do and play. I liked the mirror path - it had mirrors all around you and you had to find your way through the path. It was fun to do because you could see your reflection in the mirror trying to figure it out. Here is my sister trying to work it out.

There were more things to play with such as an air cannon, an animation where you could make still pictures come to life, a music game where you had to remember the pattern and a chest you had to open with a magnet.

In the workshop we were learning how to program robots to drive around the table without falling off or

hitting the Lego man. I worked in a group with my brother and 2 other girls. We set some instructions on the computer and downloaded the commands for it to follow. We set the direction, how many wheel turns, the speed and sensors.

Scripture Sleuth

Concord is a young boy with an older brother and a younger sister, his dad is a reporter for the local news paper. When ever there is a mystery Concord is happy to find out the story, with help from the bible

This is one of 5 books in the series. You can find out more about them  here.

I like this book because it is fun to figure out the mystery. My favourite chapter was the vase case. The reason I liked it is because it was interesting to work out from the clue in the bible
